*hotties* filled with so much heart and spirit!

Hello walker friends:

Hope you all are feeling rested and recooperated from Saturdays beautiful 14 mile walk. I believe the new route is a keeper!

I just wanted all of you to know what a pleasure it is to walk with you all. I have so enjoyed getting to know our new walkers as well as chumming up with our lovely veteran walkers. You are all filled with so much heart and spirit - I am just happy to be part of this great community!

Completing this 14 miles really gives an idea of how you will be feeling over 1/2 way through the actual 1st day of the Avon walk. You might have discovered what changes you might need to make to prepare yourself for the event. For example, in the type of socks you have, the sports drink/electrolyte replacement that works best for you or the layers of clothing that are the most comfortable to you when walking these great, varying distances.

Please join us again really soon for another spectacular day:
Special, special thanks to Sarah for taking over for me at around mile 10 when I got called out for an emergency with my father. He has been so sick with 1 failing kidney (he only has 1 left from a bout with cancer) and congestive heart failure. He was released from the hospital Sunday with not much else to do but to try to maintain with the multitude of medicines that he has to take to keep alive. Every good day he has is a blessing.

Thank you, thank you Phil and Eric for safely transporting me to my car so I could get to the hospital in Redwood City in a flash. It never fails, you both are really always there when we need you!

Ya know, it always overwhelms me with so much gratitude that I am part of this great team and community of wonderful walkers! We are always there for each other when one person just needs a little bit more.

I'll miss you all next weekend - I am going to NY with my daughter Amber to look at colleges. Our lovely fellow walker Meg will be with you next week to lead another great walk!

I hope you all have a fantastic week filled with good stretching, hydration, healthy food and rest. See you all April 7th.

Best wishes and thanks,

Sandy K.

Great walk 3/17/07!

Good Morning everyone!

Congratulations on such a great walk last Saturday! I think this particular walk is the most challenging and beautiful 12 milers we have! And everyone you did it! I know it was tough in some spots but I saw the beam of accomplishment in each and every one of your faces as you pushed through it!

If you have been a little sore just keep hydrating, stretching carefully and maybe take a nice warm bubble bath to ease the tightness or kinks that may be lingering.

***Special Thanks to Phil and Linda for your tireless support, music, water/Gatorade and whooooohoooos!

I hope everyone noticed all of our gorgeous California Coast greenery! Perfect for St. Patrick's Day!

I so enjoyed you all and I sure hope you can come back next Saturday for another beautiful walk. 14 miles - a little flatter this time - I promise! It is kind of hard to keep flat in our hilly city.

See you soon!

Sandy K.

Great climb up Lincoln Hill!

Good morning walkers!

Just a little e-mail to let you know how wonderful of a time I had walking with you!

I am so impressed with how well everyone did, especially the climb up Lincoln hill! I hope the stunning view of the coastline inspired you to keep trekking forward---hot footsies and all.

To all the new and veteran walkers, please continue hydrating and give yourself a good rest this weekend.

Special thanks to "The best guys ever" Phil & Eric, for your self-less cheering and support for us! We are very spoiled by the great care you give us, always.

Lindy, thanks for the cheering, too! I hope your injury heals very soon so you can be out with us, my friend!

Next week we meet at the Warming Hut @ 7:00am for a 12 Miler! I really hope to see you again!

Best Wishes,

Sandy Klink
