Saturday Walkers, how are your feet this morning??!! :) Congratulations to the 54 folks who walked to Tiburon on Saturday. What an amazing day! The weather could not have been more lovely, the route support more helpful and the walkers more kick-(butt)! You guys booked into Tiburon at an amazing pace -- I don't think we've ever had such a fast group. It show that all that hard work, training, andmiles logged have paid off. I was so happy to see so many accomplished proud faces on the ferry that day. Pride weekend, indeed! Sarah
Sunday Walkers, you are fantastico! Thank you for your patience about the starting place. We started with a group of us at the Sports Basement. It wasn't until I got a call from 9 walkers waiting at the Warming Hut, who by the way had parked and walked in, did I realize that the group was much bigger. Not to hold up the first group, Sarah left with them (thank you, Sarah, for taking the lead!!!!!) and I waited for the others to arrive, did the safety speech, and off we went.
It was a really beautiful day. Although the first group had to make some adjustments with the last part of the route because of the marathon, by the time the second group arrived, we had the thrill of walking up Lincoln and Kobe!! I hope everyone enjoyed the walk. For those of you who left early, thank you for taking such good care of yourselves. I hope to see some of you this Saturday and the Hottie Stalkers will be at Opening Ceremonies. I look forward to seeing you all on your Event. Thank you for walking, and raising funds and awareness.
